Time For Peace

Ecclesiastes 3:8 - “A time for war and a time for peace.”

There’s a time for war and a time for peace. The time for war will be in a few weeks when Nicole heads into heavy chemo treatments. But right now is a time for peace. We’re taking these couple of weeks to enjoy some peace while Nicole continues to recover from major surgery.

There really isn’t much medical news to share right now. Nicole is still preparing to begin treatment, and we’re grateful for a brief window where she is feeling well and able to enjoy life before the harder parts of the journey begin.

So that’s what we’re doing.

We’ve been taking some walks, light hikes, sitting by fires, and movie nights in a cool basement.

The time for war is soon, and Nicole’s strength is returning. Often it’s difficult to enjoy peace with a looming war ahead, but we’re thankful for the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Thank you again for your prayers. We feel them. We’re also thankful for those of you who have left comments, blessed us with meals, gifts, and offers to help. Our needs may change in the coming months, but for now, please continue praying for Nicole as treatment approaches and for our girls. God continues to be good.
